HUMMER 05/08/2009   What a joke I had better wings from KFC!

This is the first time I been here in a while. The last time I can here was around 3 years ago and it was brutal. I decided to give this place another chance.

Recently the Wings were average size. The sauces are average. I am quite impressed with the “Hot-n-Honey” sauce though. The quality of meat was pretty good, not overcooked at all. I hate how they don’t remove the “pointy thing” off the wing since I don’t really bother trying to eat that part anyways. Overall, the wings are considered a major improvement compared to 3 years ago.

As for the service, it was below average. The Tavern waitresses are kind of “dumb and slow”, it’s hard to explain lol The one I had just didn’t seem have much experience at all. And I noticed that a couple waitresses were just chattin around while we were waiting to pay. The place wasn’t overly busy either, so there are no excuses for bad service. I would suggest sitting at the bar next time since the bartender could probably provide better service. They have a couple good beers on tap so that is always a plus.

Overall, I don’t recommend this place for the wings unless you really want to try out the “Hot-n-Honey” flavour wings. It can be a decent drinking spot, but for a wing night, I would say look elsewhere.

DJ Naked Dave 21/03/2009   Boo Tavern. The Plastic Pub is proudly devoid of character, but not lacking in needlessly expensive beer, rude service, ridiculously overpriced food, and rubbery wings. That said the Hot N' Honey are worth having once or twice.

Smooth 16/01/2008   Just had the wings, nothing to writhe home about, the buffalo (hottest) is medium maybe, and the salt and pepper were extremely plain. Service was good, but I will be trying some other places suggested on this site. Great Site by the way!!

Ninja 28/03/2007   Flavor is okay, size is real good! Something in them makes me sick after, (not sure what?)

Mr. Wing 07/02/2007   Garbage. Too little sauce and then you couldn't find a wing in all the sauce?!?!? Not very good sauce options(recommend only hotn'honey). Too much coating on the wing.

wingasaurus 04/10/2006   I'm sitting at the table and have to say,Great wings , cooked well, decent sauce coverage, crispy (when dry) and meaty, but not that crappy fleshy watery wings that shanons seems to have now

JD 15/06/2006   Service was pretty bad, they were quite slow, the wings were overcooked, and the sauces sucked. The only good thing was there was alot tables available and the wings were really crispy but the meat was overcooked.

pimpBob 29/04/2006   Tavern Downtown. The wings are salty, over cooked, and have almost no sauce. They were pretty bad. I tried it 3 times now, and never again.

JL 12/04/2006   Just got back from Tavern and I must say that they are even better than Smitty's (coating and size).

Not sure how the price is in comparison though...

Anonymous 22/12/2005   I had the salt and pepper wings, they were a good size. Good value, probably 15 wings in the pound. Their selection of draft import beers is going downhill, however
